When you initially register your automobile in New Hampshire, you must obtain a safety and exhaust/OBD inspection within ten days. Thereafter, the inspection must be repeated annually within ten days after the end of the month in which the auto owner was born. The same applies when a vehicle is transferred between owners. The reinspection deadlines apply even when the last certificate is still valid. The process must be completed at a licensed inspection station such as Precision Imports, Precision Autoworks, or an authorized dealer. When you bring your vehicle in, you can expect the checklist to include exhaust/OBD, steering/suspension, tires/wheels, fuel system, wipers, chassis/body, including bumper height, electrical elements, lighting, all glass, brakes, and odometer/speedometer.
