A technician will also check the spark plugs, cleaning them well or replacing them if necessary. Additional components that are typically replaced are air and fuel filters, spark plug wires, the PCV valve, and oxygen sensor(s). Remember that all vehicles with a combustion engine need this service, whether gasoline, diesel, or hybrid powered. Yes, even a hybrid needs a tune-up because it uses a downsized engine and battery power.
